David Woodrum, MHE, FACHE
Previously, David served as executive vice president and COO of the American Hospital Association. His earliest positions, however, grounded him in the daily operations of hospital administration: he was assistant administrator for Anne Arundel General Hospital in Annapolis, MD, and held administrative positions at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore, MD, Monogalia General Hospital in Morgantown, WV, King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia and AMI Medical Plaza Hospital in Sherman, TX. David also served as corporate vice president for AMI Saudi Arabia, Ltd., a corporation responsible for managing five hospitals with a total of 1,360 beds, $270 million annual operating budget and over 4,000 employees. David earned a graduate degree in business administration from George Washington University. He is a fellow and regent of the American College of Health Care Executives; a credentialed life fellow, diplomat and regional director of the American Academy of Medical Administrators; a certified association executive and certified health education specialist. David served on the boards of numerous regional, state and national hospital associations; was a board member of the American Association of Hospital Foundations and is a noted speaker and author.
