Diane Tharp, Principal
Diane Tharp, RN, BSN, joined Woodrum/ASD in 2005 with over 20 years focused experience in ambulatory surgery. In that time she has served as nurse director and administrator for several ASCs in CA, managed her own company (D&D Medical Consultants) and worked for another ASC developer. In her broader 45-year career, she has held many positions, starting as head nurse in labor and delivery. She served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, and was stationed in Viet Nam and Fort Sam Houston, TX. Outside of healthcare, she has worked in real estate sales. Diane has successfully licensed, accredited or certified over 200 centers across the nation, including hospital based, freestanding and office based centers.
Diane graduated from the Delaware Hospital School of Nursing and obtained her BS degree at Chapman University in Orange County, CA. She has been a member of AORN for 29 years; for the San Fernando CA Chapter, she served as Secretary for 3 years, then President-elect and President in 2005-2006.
