Robert Zasa, MSHHA, FACMPE
In the early 1990s, Bob founded and served as president and CEO of Premier Ambulatory Systems, Inc., a firm that acquired, developed, owned and operated ambulatory surgery centers across the US. In 1995, he was recognized by Inc. magazine as CEO of one of the top 500 fastest growing private companies in the US. Premier ranked sixth in the nation for its growth in three years, earning over $35 million in revenues. Previously, Bob was managing general partner of a national ambulatory care consulting firm. He was involved in the founding and public offering of Alternate Corp., and served as vice president in the corporate office of American medical International and COO of AMI Ambulatory Centers, Inc. As an administrator at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham, AL, he operated a 552-bed hospital and developed a network of satellite clinics and ambulatory businesses. He was an administrator of Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA and worked at Druid City Medical Center and Baptist Hospital in Alabama. Bob earned his graduate degree in hospital and health administration from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and attended graduate programs in marketing at UCLA and Loyola University. He is a fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives, lecturer and author, and served on the editorial boards of the Journal of Ambulatory Care Management and Surgery Network.
